I'm Bryan M. Huizi, a Web Designer and Front-End Developer at Starkmedia in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Antique Tiger is my personal portfolio and rehearsal space. I came to web development through graphic design while living in Portland, Oregon. I had created a small t-shirt design company called Slingshot Industries. The company’s focus was an appreciation of design, 70’s muscle cars, Keith Richards and the bold, bright colors of 60’s book covers. Eventually I found myself up against the limitations of my own knowledge. I relocated to Chicago, Illinois and attended Harold Washington College, where I studied HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Adobe Flash and ActionScript.

After my formal studies concluded, I had a fortuitous interview with an understanding individual who appreciates that a person cannot gain pertinent work experience until they are provided their first opportunity. Having been given the opportunity I now know that what you work on and who you work with is what makes a firm an enjoyable place to show up to in the morning.

As a Web Designer and Front-End Developer at Starkmedia, I have the opportunity to learn from an experienced group of Web Developers that are always happy to share their knowledge and expertise. They’ve offered everything from brilliant code snippets to words of advice such as, &ldqou;Although it might be tempting, you can’t leave lorum ipsum text in the ‘About’ section on your website.”
